I took the opportunity of my Scotland trip to add in more of the United Kingdom, flying into London I picked up my rental car and set off exploring the places I'd only ever passed by in trains and read about on the back of whisky bottles. Meandering through Yorkshire, climbing around Scarborough Castle, walking the gardens of Edinburgh, driving through the highlands and the ferry to Isay. Visiting my favorite distilleries and talk to their master distillers and taste my favorite single malts directly from the cask could not have been a better dream come true except for maybe more time to spend on the island enjoying the hospitality of Bruichladdich.
