After years in the service industry I have an undying love of well crafted cocktails and spirits. There is something so special about seeing your favorite spirits come off the still or be hand drawn from a cask by the distiller, sitting down to a great meal with a cocktail paired to match and being able to enjoy the passions and pursuits of a true service professional
Setting out on a road trip is my favorite way to get perspective in my life. I love the feeling of watching the world go by outside the car window, light filtering through the trees driving down country roads and stopping to explore towns that time has left alone. I went with Claire to visit her home town of Houston, Texas and for a little over a week we took the long way around the state. Stopping at the small towns, chatting with locals, eating BBQ and exploring the places that get passed by at 75mph.
Felix and Jackie's wedding came together with family from around the globe coming to celebrate their love. Held out in Alameda in the Rock Wall Winery hanger this industrial space was transformed in to an intimate candle lit ceremony. The sun set over personalized cocktails and sparkling wine and the dancing and celebrating went on late into the night.
This couldn't have been a more beautiful weekend with lots of friends and family coming together from both coasts to help Brice and Leah ring in the next stage of their lives together. Leah's eclectic stylings infused ever bit of their wedding weekend from decorating the back yard to hand made bridal jewelry by friends everything came together seamlessly
Eddy and Veneta had a fairy tale wedding at the beautiful Hopetoun House estate just outside of Edinburgh. Traditional with everyone dressed in their tartans, sporrans and highland dances it was the perfect mix of friends and family, cousins from both sides dancing and laughing easily by the end of the night, though her son Adam and his partners in crime may have stolen the show!
Loved getting to share this Portland couples love on their summer engagement shoot, from popular bars and easy backyard hangouts to the fully bloomed Peninsula Park rose garden at sunset it was full of love, silliness and plenty of laughter. Excited to spend more time with them when I get to go back to shoot their end of January wedding!
Watching Sammy growing up this year is one of my favorite long projects. He is quite possibly one of the happiest little gentlemen I've ever met and I love visiting him every few months, it's so exciting to capture all his new discoveries. I can't wait to put together his 1st year book!
So fun to watch this little one who started out a bit shy then warmed up till she was fully hamming it up for the camera! Each new antic made it so hard to leave especially when she decided to abscond with my shoes!
